community yard sale next weekend
EBENSBURG -- Nearly 40
residents will be hosting yard sales on Saturday, July
30 in conjunction with the 9th annual Ebensburg Homecoming
celebration. A map of yard sale locations is currently available
at www.ebensburgpa.com
and www.ebensburgmainstreet.com.
They are also available at the Ebensburg Borough Office and in
many stores downtown. Maps can be found on the morning of July
30 th in the Ebensburg Area Business Commission tent in the parking
lot of First National Bank (starting at 8am). “This is the
first year that we decided to put together a map,” said
Adam Murphy, EABC board member. “We were happy to see so
many residents interested in hosting their sales on this day.”
The Ebensburg Homecoming schedule is as follows: 8am-2pm - Homecoming
Bazaar (Downtown) & Community Yard Sale; 8am-1pm - Ebensburg
Flea Market (Downtown); 9am-Noon - Ebensburg Farmer’s Market
(FNB Parking Lot); 9am – Ebensburg Homecoming 5K race, Kids
Fun Run and Fun Walk (Lake Rowena); 9am-2pm - Book Sale (Ebensburg
Public Library); 11am-1pm - Fishing Derby (for kids at Lake Rowena
– Kiwanis Club); 11am-2pm - Pig Roast (Ebensburg Presbyterian
Church); 1pm-5pm - YPCC Parent-Child Golf Outing (Appledale Public
Golf Course); 5:30pm-6:30pm - Kid’s games – Lake Rowena;
8pm-11pm - Stillwater (band) – Lake Rowena; *Fireworks at
Dusk – Lake Rowena. **The Trail around Lake Rowena will
be available to walk.

music fun with the Railroaders Memorial Museum for the national
country act SHENANDOAH, who will perform a concert to benefit
the Museum on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005. Concert
to be held at Burgi's Roundhouse on the Back Nine. Entertainment
and activities all day, beginning with bands, mechanical bull
riding, and a show by Midnight Rodeo. Tickets for the all-day

-- The Ebensburg Homecoming committee invites everyone
to take part in the Homecoming Bazaar planned for Saturday, July
30th from 8am-2pm in downtown Ebensburg. School groups, crafters,
flea marketers, organizations, non-profits, etc. are welcome! Space is
limited, so you must pre-register! Spaces are 8' x 10' and you must bring
your own table. Space fee is $5. Call Roni at 471-1777 to pre-register

EBENSBURG -- An Ebensburg Community Yard Sale will once again
be held this year in conjunction with the 9 th annual Ebensburg Homecoming
celebration on Saturday, July 30th. In it’s third year,
the community yard sale has been a popular addition to many other Homecoming
activities. “Residents and visitors have been asking for us to provide
a map of the yard sales happening around town on this date,” said Christine
Strugala, Community Development Director. “So, that’s what we
are going to do!” A map of yard sale locations will be available one
week before the event, starting on July 25 th, at the Ebensburg Borough Office
and on our web site at www.ebensburgmainstreet.com.
Individuals from the Ebensburg area who are interested in placing their yard
sale on the map must send their name, address, phone number and yard sale
times to: Christine Strugala, 300 West High Street, Ebensburg, PA 15931 or
cstrugala@ebensburgpa.com. You may also deliver this information to the Ebensburg
Borough Office. The cost is $5 per entry and the deadline to enter your yard
sale is July 21 st! Please make checks payable to EABC (Ebensburg Area Business
Commission). “This is for yard sales being held in the Ebensburg Area
Only,” said Strugala. “We encourage residents to host their yard
sale for the year on this date because of the many Homecoming activities going
on.”

QuadFest
scheduled for July
HEILWOOD -- Tri
County ATV and PaAtving are proud to
present the largest Pennsylvania ATV Rally in 2005. QuadFest,
scheduled for July 15-17, is an annual ride for PaAtving in
association with TriCounty ATV; Tri County ATV will host this ride on their
property. This event will be the largest, most versatile ATV experience held
in the state in 2005. It will include 2 days of trail riding [over 30+ miles
each day], ATV drag races, ATV mud bog, and ATV quad pulls. We invite you to
become a part of history by supporting and attending the event. We hope to attract
all quad owners from utility to sport, performance-to-modified as well as dirt
bike owners and three wheelers. QuadFest will be held at the Tri County ATV
grounds in Heilwood, Pennsylvania. The grounds, which are normally exclusive
to members, contain 325 acres of prime riding land as well as access to another
1000. They also have a pavilion with a full kitchen, a lighted track for drag
racing, and an engineered pulling sled. Meals, games, prizes, entertainment
and other activities are planned. Free primitive camping and ample parking*
is available for all who attend. Participants can purchase a weekend pass for
$25 or a day pass for $15. All participants, who pre-register and pre-pay, will
