You, Thank You, Thank You

Hi everyone! Welcome to the website! Lori here at NorthernCambria.com! I try
not to do this often, but this is one of those occasions that I am using the
website for personal stuff. This is something very important to us though,
so here goes.
-- My husband and I have two 'kids', a 10-year-old black lab, and his little
brother, a 17-month-old golden retriever. We took him to Dr. Takacs at the
Ebensburg Animal Hospital, we have both heard good things about him. Dr. Takacs's
advice was that we leave our baby, as he felt that he had a blockage in his
digestive tract. Dr. Takacs operated and did indeed find substantial blockage.
Benson is home now and on the road to a full recovery.
-- I can't say enough about how great the doctor has been through this whole
ordeal. He made sure we knew what was going on, what to expect, and personally
checked in with us frequently. This is truly a veterinarian who cares about
his patients and their families and our family is greatful for his dedication
and expertise.
-- I haven't found a website for them, but here is some information: Ebensburg
Animal Hospital, Dr. James W. Takacs, DVM, 812 Rowena Dr., Ebensburg, PA,
(814) 472-6263. Thank you so much Dr. Takacs!!!

Grand
opening of trail extension
CAMBRIA COUNTY-- The Cambria County Conservation
& Recreation Authority (CCCRA) wishes to invite you to
the Grand Opening Ceremonies for the Ghost Town Trail Extension
from Ebensburg to Nanty Glo. The event will take place Thursday,
October 20, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at the new
Ghost Town Trail Ebensburg Trailhead located on Prave St.
near the Young People’s Community Center.
-- This 8-mile section of rails to trails has been on the
drawing board for several years. The wait and hard work has
been well worth it. This beautiful addition to the existing
trail will take walkers, joggers, horseback riders, bicyclists,
picnickers, fishermen, nature lovers, bird watchers and cross-country
skiers through several miles of rugged, unsettled woods not
encountered on most Pennsylvania rail trails.
Please join us in celebrating this important official opening
of not only a trail, but of a linear park extending 8 miles
to meet with another existing 12 miles of trail to Dilltown,
Indiana County.
-- Jack Bartock will lead a 16 – mile round trip bicycle
tour of this scenic and exciting addition to Cambria County’s
recreational facilities following the ceremony. Bring your
bikes and cameras!

Ebensburg
launches billboard campaign to promote downtown
EBENSBURG

half way done and we want everyone to see our progress.” Borough officials
are pleased with the project and glad to see everyone enjoying the new look
of Ebensburg. “Businesses are beginning to place tables and chairs on
their sidewalks and the American Legion has erected a new fence and landscaping
to blend in with the beautiful streetscape,” said Deborah Nesbella, Council
President. “We are eagerly awaiting the completion of the project, but
happy to see it’s progress to date.” The billboards can be found
