Potatofest
coloring contest underway
EBENSBURG -- The 15th anniversary
celebration of the Ebensburg PotatoFest will be held on Saturday,
September 30 in downtown Ebensburg! To get ready
for this exciting event, the PotatoFest committee has announced a
coloring contest for children ages 12 & under to participate in!
-- Children are being asked to color the event’s logo and submit
it by Friday, September 22 to Northwest Savings Bank,
176 Lovell Avenue in Ebensburg. One entry per applicant will be accepted.
The PotatoFest committee will judge each entry and select two winners!
Each winner will receive a $50 savings bond from Northwest Savings
Bank and PotatoFest merchandise.
-- A coloring page can be downloaded from the website at www.potatofest.com,
picked up at the Ebensburg Borough office (300 West High Street) or
at Northwest Savings Bank in Ebensburg.

to break ground for Ebensburg tennis facility
EBENSBURG -- A brand new six-court
tennis facility will be built in Ebensburg, thanks to a large donation
from Vince and Linda McMahon, owners of the World Wresting Entertainment.
"The McMahon's donated the funds to make their mother's dream
come true," said Deborah Nesbella, Borough Council President.
"Now, their mother, a resident of Ebensburg, will be able to
play tennis in her hometown."
-- A groundbreaking ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday,
September 29th at the Lake Rowena entrance off of
Lakeview Road.
